stay together, and force the teeth to go in and out of the kibble many times. This abrasive action acts like a toothbrush to help remove any tartar that might be forming. Both of these diets can be used as a maintenance diet, or you can just give a few kibble of the dental diet mixed in with your pet's regular food. We do strongly recommend that once your pets teeth have been professionally cleaned that they stay on a dental diet life-long. We send you home with a complementary bag of a dental diet with your pet's dental to get you started.
We also send you home with a product called Breathalyzer. This blue liquid was developed by a veterinarian and is mixed into your pet's drinking water. Breathalyzer has anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties to it, helps freshen your pets breath, and keeps tartar and plaque from building up as fast.
Another great dental care product is Greenies. I haven't met a dog yet that doesn't love Greenies. A veterinarian and a clinical nutritionist developed this product to help freshen breath with the natural advantages of chlorophyll. Its abrasive action helps to decrease buildup of tartar and plaque. Greenies also help ‘clean' the whole digestive tract, and yes your pets stool might have a greenish color, this is normal however. This is an at-home dental care product that both you and your dog will enjoy! My cats and even my rats love them too!
