Home Again Microchip
Identification System

MACC also recommends the HomeAgain microchip. Over 120,000 pets have been reunited with their families with the HomeAgain chip. With statistics like 1 out of 3 pets will become lost during its life time, this safe, simple, and permanent form of identification will help ease your mind that you will be able to get your pet home should it become lost. HomeAgain has a 24/7 recovery service, to notify you as soon as your pet's ID # is called into the hotline. Almost all animal hospitals, clinics and shelters scan any lost pets brought in, and then call the recovery hotline to report the animal as found. The HomeAgain microchip recovers a lost animal approximately every 11 minutes.

The chip itself is about the size of a grain of rice, and is injected under the skin similarly to vaccines. The HomeAgain microchip is a passive transponder that contains an ID code that can be read by a scanner. It requires no battery and is made of biocompatible material that is safe for animals.

We at MACC recommend having your pet microchipped at the same time it is being spayed or neutered, but the microchip can be placed at anytime. You can contact HomeAgain on line at www.HomeAgainID.com
